Medicinal plants can be used when unable to use modern medicine or having to resort to pills. There are several kinds of medicinial plants that can be used to treat pain. 

Alfalfa

Aloe Vera

If ingested it can be used to help treat joint pain. Aloe Vera helps speed up the process of cell growth due to its strong anti-inflammatory characteristics.
