Water can be made drinkable. Water out of the back of a toilet can be used as well as a bathtub full if needed to use for other purposes.
Water will need to be strained in order to get out any dust particles or other debris. Use coffee filters, paper towels or even cloth.
Purification can be done either by boiling, using bleach or using water purification tablets. Boil water for 3-5 minutes. Exchange the water back and forth between two clean containers to add oxygen and taste back into the water.
Use 1/8 of a teaspoon of bleach per gallon of clear water. With cloudy water add 1/4 teaspoon. Bleach should only be 5.25% percent sodium hypochlorite. shake or stir, then let stand 30 minutes. A slight chlorine taste and smell is normal.
Water Sources
Sea Water-Do not drink sea water. It needs to be desalinized first. Drinking sea water with a high concentration of salt will result in death.
Heavy Dew can provide water also. Tie rags around feet and walk through dew covered patches and wring out water from the rags. Purify before drinking.
Trees sometimes have cavities in which water gathers. This can be used also after being purified.
